MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT - LESTAT signs to NILAIHAH RECORDS!

After almost a decade hiatus, the Cleveland based darkwave band Lestat has arisen! Imagine stepping back a few decades to a dark club night, full of smoke and haunting melodies. Eighties electronica, floating melodies and dark guitars with deep, mysterious vocals. Now, fuse the styles of various darker genres, poetic turmoil, and mature musical experimentation. The diversity of tracks and male/female vocals, plus a cover of Siouxsie and the Banshee's classic "Red Light" will leave you breathless. The nostalgia will take you back, but the clarity will awaken your dark soul.

Over the last few years, Lestat has been touring across the US to a diverse and devout fan base. They also completed their "resurrection" and new album, aptly titled 'Arisen' for an April 2012 release. They reformed with three original members, Evan Nave (formerly Razz), Susan and Timothy, and added two new members to the line-up: War on bass, a former member of PKS and Scott, former drummer for Disown.

They are back. And, better than ever! http://nilaihah.com/arisen.htm

Age Of Decay Festival Postponed

From the promoter:

We’ve had a disappointing setback for the Age of Decay festival. Back in October, we reserved April 21 as the big day (and night) with Brewster’s Pit, only to have them tell us a few days ago that they had double booked the night and would not be honouring our agreement. With so many people’s travel schedules planned, flights and hotels booked, helpful funds donated, t-shirts purchased, and all manner of arrangements by everyone involved – both those putting the festival on and those attending – we were devastated at first. Our team made many hours’ worth of phone calls, but this close to the date other venues are already booked for April 21. We are working now to secure a Fall date for you with a different, and trustworthy, venue.

We’ve been angry, we’ve been sad, but more than anything, we’ve been determined! The 8 bands on the bill – Ex-Voto, Lestat, Strap On Halo, Ending the Vicious Cycle, Entertainment, Sapphire Rebellion, Asylum XIII, and The Drowning Season - are the most supportive people in the world and their encouragement, along with the encouragement of vendors like Horror Artist Jerrod Brown and Azrael’s Accomplice, donors, sponsors, fans, and Age of Decay staff just proves that You Can’t Keep a Good Goth Down.

We will keep you updated as new solutions are found and we look forward to seeing you – darker and more wonderful – in a few months!
